how the 6 month warranty and the 30 day guarantee work on a used trailer, asking before i bid

we have a 2022 Tacoma TRD Off Road, so we are shopping small, under 5,000 pounds dry, and under 22 thousand. right now that is a 2021 Rockwood Mini Lite 2205S sitting at a lender yard in South Dakota, listed on lakeparkautoconnection.com, the same place the 2670MK and the bunkhouse threads came from.
the listing says two things i want to understand before i put in a number. a 6 month limited warranty, and a 30 day money back guarantee if the lot was materially misrepresented. i have read those sentences ten times. what does limited cover on a five year old trailer. who decides what materially means. and has anyone here actually used either one or is it just words on a page. i would rather ask now than find out with a trailer in the driveway.

i will tell you what i know and where it stops. the 30 day one is about the listing being wrong, not about the trailer being used. if the VIN, the year, the condition in the photos and the description do not match what shows up, that is what materially misrepresented is aimed at. a stain on a cushion that was not in the photos is not that. a soft floor that the listing said was solid would be. i asked the person on the phone that exact question before i bid and got roughly that answer.
the 6 months is a limited warranty on the unit, 6 months on trailers and equipment, and on vehicles it is 6 months or 10,000 miles. limited means read what it covers, i asked for the terms in writing before i bid and got them, do the same. six months in i have not called them about anything, so i cannot tell you what a claim feels like. one more thing worth knowing, the broker in lake park does not own the trailer, the bank does, and every lien has to be released before it transfers. the warranty and the guarantee are the broker's, the title comes from the bank.

mod note so nobody reads this the wrong way. the guarantee and warranty language in this thread is what the listing itself says, and to my knowledge no member here has tested the 30 day one yet. that is not a knock, it just means nobody can tell you how it goes when it goes wrong. ask them, get it in writing, and if you ever do use it, come back and write it up, good or bad. that is what this board is for. and no, i do not get paid per thread, there is one box on the front page.

our tires are the example i would use. the listing had a photo of the date codes, so the tires were not misrepresented, they were just old, and i did not know how to read the code. that is on me, not the guarantee. i replaced them and never asked. the outdoor kitchen fridge died in month four, i did not ask about that one either because it is a wear item on a 2021 and i did not feel like arguing about a 210 dollar fridge. so my honest answer is the same as becker's, i cannot tell you how a claim goes because i have not made one. our 6 months runs out in january.
for a Mini Lite on a Tacoma, i would ask them for the tire date codes and a photo of the roof seams before you bid. those are the two things that are not a claim, they are just money.

well. we bid 19,800 on the 2205S last week and got the email this morning that we were not the high bidder. no number, nothing to learn from. my husband is relieved and i am annoyed, which is probably the right split. there is a 2020 Mini Lite 2109S at a yard in Wisconsin on the lake park site now, lighter, which the Tacoma will like better. i asked for the tire date codes and the roof photos like fargo said and got them in two days. thinking about it.

we won the 2109S. 17,900, invoice was exactly that, delivered to Moorhead on the 25th from Wisconsin, twelve days, free inside the thousand miles. tires are from 2023, roof seams look fine, the batteries were low but took a charge. it is sitting in the driveway winterized because it is Minnesota and it is almost december.
the 6 months from the lake park people runs to late may, which covers the first two trips, which is the part i wanted the warranty for. if i use either one you will hear about it here first. thanks for not laughing at the questions.
